Want to take your dog on a vacation, but don't know where to take him? Looking for something unique and dog-centered, and not just a hotel? Consider spending June 2nd - 6th in Lake George, New York at the Canine Club Getaway's second event where they will be taking over the Roaring Brook Ranch for lots of doggie fun!
Canine Club Getaway was founded by Janice Costa, and David and Carole Kralstein in 2009 as a way to bring dog owners, and their dogs, together in a camp-like atmosphere. There are fun dog activities, classes and seminars to keep both you, and Fido, busy. Some of the highlights include flyball, swimming (dogs allowed in the pool!), Frisbee and skateboarding. There will also be Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog tests, obedience classes, an agility course and "barks and crafts". The daily seminars will be on all types of topics, including Emergency Canine First Aid, Dog Psychology 101 and Pet-Friendly Design.
Humans, and their trusty companions, sleep at the Roaring Brook Ranch in newly renovated rooms featuring private baths and cable TV. Everything is included - from breakfast in the morning to gratuities. Rates start at $1075 (double occupancy) per person for the entire stay which includes 4 nights lodging, three meals daily (starting with dinner on Wednesday and finishing with breakfast on Sunday) and all dog activites.
The first Canine Club Getaway of 2009 sold out - so reserve now!

How to get to Lake George from Orlando:
If you don't fancy the couple days of driving to reach Lake George from central Florida, consider flying direct into New York City - only about 3.5 hours from Lake George. Flying direct as possible is the best way to travel with your dog. If he/she are small enough to fit under the seat, consider flying JetBlue where dogs can also earn frequent flyer miles!
