Lost Luggage contents by Luna Laboo
We all know how aggravating it is to lose luggage. After arriving at a new destination or returning home from one, the last thing you want to experience is an empty airport conveyor belt and your luggage nowhere to be found.
Ever wonder what happens to the lost luggage that inevitably ends up at airports unclaimed? Well so did Luna Laboo, who decided to research the matter herself. She soon found out that unclaimed luggage is eventually sold at an auction and the money sent to charity.
After buying a few of these lost items, Laboo created a website Is This Your Luggage?, in which she took pictures of the contents inside each luggage and posted them in hopes of finding the owner. Considering some of the intimate nature found inside most bags, it may raise some brows to think of Laboo rummaging through a complete stranger's dirty clothes.
World Hum editor Michael Yessis questions her about her self proclaimed, weird voyeuristic passion. Laboo explains how she feels when she opens a luggage that she bought from one of the auctions:
"You can’t see inside the case until you have bought it so you don’t know what goodies you have till you get home and open it. It’s a bit like opening a Christmas present. (Maybe I need help.)"
Well at least she acknowledges that her new hobby is a bit odd. Her efforts have not been rewarded however, since no one has claimed a luggage thus far.

That's a great idea, i love it! I recommend shipping your luggage with Luggage Forward so you don't need to worry about losing it but if you must check then this site is a must have!
hello Luna, I hope you read all of your mail...... I do not know if it is a coincidence or not but I am a Laboo of the United States Laboo's. I have this thing for the previous owned, unknown..... I express myself in yard sales. i have to turn around most of the time because I normally do not see them until I am right up on them. I do not really search for them they seem to find me. I like to go to yard sales when I am not looking to go to a yard sale. that is the fun for me. Pop around a corner and there before you can hardly slow down there it is, a juicy, inviting mysterious sqle of pre-owned commodities. Spring is coming........
