There is no more of a romantic restaurant than Sonya's, when planning a dinner at Disney's Vero Beach Resort. Named one of Florida's 500 Best Places to Dine two years in a row by Florida Trend magazine, Sonya's atmosphere is elegant and extremely romantic. Enjoy a mouth-watering cuisine with choices of exceptional steaks, chops and seafood.
The restaurant's atmosphere is perfect to take your mind off everyday worries and a way to get away from the kids. If staying at Disney's Vero Beach Resort, take the kids to the Disney Discovery Club (available through the recreation department on select nights) and enjoy a meal with your loved one.
When dining at Sonya's I fell in love with the Coconut Curried Crab. I was amazed how perfect this appetizer was. For my meal I could not resist and had to have the Crispy Tempura Yellow Fin Tuna. Wow! Mouth-watering! It was perfectly served with lo mien noodles and stir-fried baby vegetables.
Unfortunately the food was so good I had no room for dessert, but knowing Disney, I am sure there is not a bad dessert on the menu. Out of all the restaurants, I would put Sonya's at the top of my list of must dos when visiting the Vero Beach area.
Do not forget to take a stroll outside or head up to The Green Cabin Room after dinner.
Dinner is served at Sonya's on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 10 p.m. Breakfast is served in Sonya's on Saturdays from 7:30 to 11 a.m.
