Day 8 proved to be another relaxing day aboard the Silversea Silver Shadow. The ship was sailing on to Canada and would arrive in Victoria the next morning.
Doug and I enjoyed the best buffet ever for lunch. The entire kitchen had been turned over to several food stations including separate areas for seafood, hot entrees, a meat carving station, cold entrees, pastas, salads and bread. In the center of the dining room an enormous dessert display had been erected, complete with a towering castle made from chocolate.

Needless to say, we both stuffed ourselves, but didn't feel too badly...everyone around us was doing the same.
The rest of the day was spent at leisure. I watched passengers participate in dance classes, arts & crafts and played some Bingo and trivia. Other activities included easy language lessons with the cruise director, lectures on art and wildlife, gambling in the casino and golf putting.
Several passengers gathered on the deck to shoot photos of more whales and porpoises.

That evening we enjoyed a fabulous five-star dinner with the ship's Hotel Director, Paolo Percivale and Silversea's Vice President of Hotel Operations, Andre Norseth. The food alone made this journey worth every penny.
We proceeded to the auditorium to watch the final show of the Silver Shadow's singers and dancers. These talented entertainers provided performances rivaling those in New York and Las Vegas - they were that good!
Tomorrow would be an early day in Victoria, so we both retired to our suite to dream about our adventures aboard the Silver Shadow.
