We all love lists. And most of us love Valentine's Day. So what better than Travel & Leisure's 50 Best Romantic Getaways? It's in the upscale magazine's February 2009 issue, but you can find out which 50 made Cupid's cut online. There's also a slide show of the global getaways.

* I'm somewhat proud that The Inn at Langley (pictured above) on the island where I live made the list! As far as the other nine, I've only been to NYC and Napa Valley.

Thank you for sharing Travel and Leisure's recognition of our wonderful island in the Pacific Northwest. My wife and I have lived in Clinton, 2 minutes from the ferry and love it here. However, we have found that many Seattle locals haven't yet discovered our local arts scene, wineries, historic sites and seaside towns. Maybe now they will. Thank you for your link to the official tourism website. I love the photos, video and stories there!
