Traveling with small kids? Try the 'SafteyTat'

While traveling with small kids, it's always a good idea to keep the little nippers in hand, or at least within eyesight.

But, on the off chance you cannot, here's the next best thing.

Get 'em tattooed.

Doesn't have to be permanent.

SafetyTats are a quick, easy to mark your tyke and help out at crowded events, the San Diego County Fair, SeaWorld, Legoland or and of the other area amusement parks.

The story goes that the idea was born one Labor Day Weekend when Baltimore mom Michele Welsh, her husband and their three small kids visited an amusement park.

A bit overwhelmed, she jotted her mobile phone number  down on the kids' hands. After she explained how important it was to stay close, she told them that if the unthinkable happened and they got lost, to have a good Samaritan call the number.

Many compliments that day inspired her to take the idea further.

They can hold your name or the name of a guardian and are designed to be worn on arms or hands.

Neat idea! Even extremely conscientious parents can have a child wander away. I like this much better than the leashes that some parents use.
