For the cost of an Internet connection, Web wanderers can now tour Legoland California and garner a 360-degree street level view.
Google Maps on Tuesday launched the product for the theme park on Tuesday. San DIego State University is also available in such a view, becoming the first campus in the U.S to be so displayed online.
Students, parents, alumni and visitors can now see for themselves how certain spots on the campus on Montezuma Mesa appear on a typical day.
While virtually touring LEGOLAND, users move about by dragging an little LEGO character about the screen. To try it out for yourself, head to Google Maps and enter "Legoland California" in the search box. Zoom in using the green arrow until you're in the street view, then wander to heart's content and wax rhapsodic about the wonders of technology and the almighty Google.
It took a Google tech cycling around LEGOLAND and SDSU equipped with one of those multi-lens camera gizmos I'm quite sure we'll all be carting around one of these days. (Kids, start working on those quads and anti-spine compression stretches now).
