Situated at the base of the Siskiyou Mountains, Ashland is the jewel of the Rogue Valley.   A lovely, safe town of approximately 20,000 citizens, Ashland has something for everyone.

The main draw to Ashland is the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival.  Running since 1935, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) presents eleven plays on three separate plays, from February to late October.  While the Bard’s plays dominate the stages, many contemporary, comedic and musical plays are also presented.

Ashland has a small, tidy downtown full of upscale restaurants and funky shops.  These businesses serve all interests – shoes, travel gear, home furnishings, backpacking gear to fishing needs.

For the outdoor enthusiast, Ashland is the place to vacation.  Endless hiking opportunities abound, from the Pacific Crest Trail, just outside town, to the myriad of mountains ringing the city.  Mt. Ashland, fifteen miles from downtown is the highest point in the Siskiyou Range. Mt. Ashland boasts 23 ski runs and 80 miles of cross country trails.     

Five golf courses, in close proximity to Ashland, can challenge golfers in the morning. The numerous, many award winning, wineries throughout the Rogue Valley can impress them in the afternoon.

The Rogue River is a special attraction for fishermen, speed boat or rafting lovers or those wanting a quiet hike.  The Rogue, a protected Wild and Scenic river, has segments that flow free and rough and areas of serene bliss.
