sampled a different one. (Photo: Courtesy of Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou)
Hogs foot, black fungus salad and sea slug soup might seem exotic to Americans, but in southwest China they are commonplace and--more importantly--delicious.

Zach, you've got more courage than any three guys I know. By the way, you need to try out one of the 3300 KFC restaurants Yum Brands has open in China. The Chinese seem to be in love with Col. Sanders-San and his secret recipe. Despite declining U.S. sales volume, Yum had an 18% increase in net profits last quarter, thanks to the Chinese operations. Don't know whether KFC serves snakes, however. Keep up the good work!
Thank you sir! I saw a bunch of KFCs in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, along with some McDonalds, Burger Kings, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and a big billboard for Budweiser. And a bartender in Guangzhou said that he's a fan of Woodford Reserve.
