Jillian Harris, The Bachelorette, before the final rose on The Big Island of Hawaii
Tonight's the night for Jillian Harris to reveal on The Bachelorette what she is going to do with the final rose. What love she will or will not find, and whether or not she will be betrothed.
What I will watch to see is the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii, featured on the two-hour season finale of this popular reality show.
As written about in parts one (click here) and two (click here) in this series, Jillian and her dates do get around the diverse Hawaiian destination, touting its glorious beaches, dynamic volcanos and breathtaking hotels.
Of the latter, the final resort is a real winner.
Called The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel founded in 1965 by Laurence S. Rockefeller, this visionary took a close and loving look at the pristine beach at Kauna'oa and said, "Every great beach deserves a great hotel."
And so for decades this one has had one.
A landmark on the Kohala Coast, The Mauna Kea serves everything one would want in a beach resort, from a seaside tennis club to the stunning Mauna Kea Gold Course to the progressive Pavilion Wine Bar to the 258 stylish guest rooms, with modern decor that manages to be elegant. Clambakes on the beach are a constant lure, as are the many picturesque koi ponds found on this sprawling resort.
So, did Bachellorette Jillian Harris find love at the marvelous Mauna Kea? You'll have to tune in to the ABC reality show tonight to find out.
