The celebrities all showed up -- along with a huge contingency of politicians and politicos -- for President Obama this evening at his place. You know, that big white house in Washington, D.C., called, well, The White House.
The event?
President Barack Obama's first official State Dinner, with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as the guest of honor.
Housed in a bullet proof tent set up on the South Lawn, this big White House event gives guests a great view of the President's domicile. Meanwhile, please note: Ordinary people like me can get a great view of the White House from The Hay-Adams hotel across Pennsylvania Avenue from where the Obamas live.
Enough said for now except look at some of the amazing photos from this amazing event in our nation's capital. More on the big celebration in another posting.
