The other day, I decided I'd put in a ridiculously low bid on Priceline.com for a round-trip flight to Europe from Indianapolis. While my offer was not accepted, Priceline offered me a special deal.
"If you are willing to raise your price to $422 for a round-trip ticket (to Belfast, Northern Ireland), Priceline will buy your tickets," or something to that effect.
And $422 was well below the price for the same dates on Kayak.com. I think the lowest was $523. That's almost $100 savings per ticket!
So, if you don't mind "winning" on accident, I'd highly recommend low-balling your offer on Priceline for flights. What have you got to lose?
