After getting pounded with snow during the week, the slopes are packed and ready for a final spring run. Although only a handful of resorts are still open, these have had enough snow to make it worth hitting the slopes and potentially calling in sick to work on Monday for a final snow celebration.
Wolf Creek has reopened for the weekend due to nearly 10 feet of snowfall gracing their turf. A-Basin reported 16 inches of snow in the last 24 hours, Loveland has had 18 inches and have already opened up 2009-2010 season pass sales. Winter Park is reporting a yard of snow and remains the top contender with 22 of their 24 lifts still open.
Silverton has had a foot of snow in the last day while Copper is reporting 9 inches with a mid-mountain base depth of 83 inches. Aspen Highlands will open this weekend and next weekend (April 25-26) with 76 inches at mid-mountain. Echo Mountain, with 24 inches in the last 24 hours, has fresh powder to blaze through. If that isn't enough for you, head to Winter Park's end of season Spring Splash, which is occurring today at noon.
