Flight cancelled or missed. Hours to go before the next one. Or, even a full night. Too expensive to go to a hotel, money is short. Instead of a bed, it’s the chairs in the airport.
All airports are not alike when it comes to bedding down. Sleeping In Airports has the list of the best and the worst.
The US airports do not fare well. Only one in the top 10, and several in the worst of the bunch category.
The Best Airports
1. Singapore Changi
2. Seoul Incheon
3. Amsterdam Schiphol
4. Oslo Gardermoen
5. Hong Kong
6. Dubai
7. Frankfurt International
8. Munich
9. Vancouver
10. Denver
The Worst Airports
1. Paris Charles de Gaulle
2. Moscow Sheremetyevo
3. New York JFK
4. Los Angeles
5. Delhi
6. Chicago O'Hare
7.Mumbai
8.Manila
9. Rome Fiumicino
10. London Heathrow
I have some quibbles with the list. It only includes the high traffic airports. The smaller, and perhaps more welcoming ones aren’t even considered. Like the Albuquerque Sunport, which should be considered one of the best.
Another quibble, huge airports differ considerably from one terminal to another.
But if you do need to catch a nap, here are their tips
What’s your experience with airports? Which one would you consider the best for sleeping? And do you have any tips to share?

I got caught in Chicago once and the connecting hotel was booked up. Even though the airport was closed, they kept the announcements on all night and the cots were set-up near the moving walkway - where the announcement about "watch your step" was kept on all night too!
Just don't expec to get much sleep in any airport.
