Top European bargain destinations, as rated by U.S. travelers on TripAdvisor.com

TripAdvisor announced the results of their annual European travel survey, in which 1,300 U.S. travelers chimed in on the best bargain hotels, attractions, destinations, and more.   A whopping 65% of those surveyed are planning a trip to Europe this year, most likely during the off-peak season of September-October of 2009.   Overall, Prague in the Czech Republic appeared to be the traveler's top choice as a bargain European destination.   Prague also made the number one spot in the '08 European survey.

TripAdvisor's survey revealed the top five best bargain European destinations as:

1. Prague, Czech Republic
2. London, England
3. Paris, France
4. Lisbon, Portugal
5. Budapest, Hungary

Some of the top five bargain destinations, had one of TripAdvisor's top 10 best bargain hotels nearby, notably:

Arcadia Residence, Prague, Czech Republic

Kenley Hotel, Blackpool, England

Can-y-Bae, Llandudno, Wales

Honorable mention goes to Hotel
