Kangen water -- antioxidant water -- for your health

Kangen water, or “antioxidant water” -- also known as ERW (electrolyzed reduced water) -- has come to my attention through my journey of exploration into health and wellness. Kangen water is made by a machine that typically sits on a kitchen counter. The water undergoes electrolysis, and two types of water are produced at the same time: Kangen water, which has a high alkali content, and acidic water, at a 3:1 ratio. Kangen water contains the highest ORP (oxidation reduction potential) levels which you can find in ionized water. This means its “reduction potential” is increased to neutralize active oxygen or free radicals. Kangen water contains a higher percentage of active hydrogen than tap or bottled water. Aging is largely caused by oxidation and free radicals, which attack our body cells, tissues, and DNA, and cause over 90 percent of diseases. Therefore, drinking Kangen water helps keep us healthy by neutralizing free radicals in the body.

This technology was developed in Japan in the 1950's; and the ?rst machine came out in 1955 for agricultural use. Today, many hospitals, hotels, and restaurants in Japan use this machine, especially for sterilization, using strong acidic water. There are also many clinical studies and experimental treatments being conducted to treat diseases, both by drinking Kangen water and by topically applying acidic water. One Japanese man, for example, was captured on video. He had arrived in a clinic in Japan having been told he would likely need to have his foot amputated due to the ravages of diabetes. About a month and a half later, after drinking a daily regimen of Kangen water and using the acid water externally on his foot at a hospital, he was again shown on video, this time a very happy man, walking out the door of the clinic with both feet intact!

Below are some practical uses for Kangen and acid water.

1) Drink Kangen water after exercising: This will replenish the electrolyte balance three times more  than other waters. This is because the body more easily absorbs the smaller water clusters of Kangen water. Therefore, recuperation is also faster. Animals also ?nd this water enjoyable; it can help keep your pets happy and healthy.

2) Cook with Kangen water: Foods cook faster and water heats up more quickly because of the smaller water clusters in antioxidant water. Many restaurants use Kangen water because it draws out the ?avors and foods become more ?avorful.

3) Tea, coffee and other beverages: Antioxidant water adds ?avor to and brings out the best in beverages.

4) Vegetables: Wash vegetables with Kangen water and get the maximum taste and ?avors from them in salads. Vegetables are crisper and last longer after being soaked in Kangen water. Cut ?owers also last longer when they are placed in Kangen water instead of tap water.

5) Acid water for beautiful skin, for cleaning, and as a substitute for pesticides: The acidic water that is created through the electrolysis can be used as a beauty and cleaning aid. Use it to help clean mirrors, windows, bathtubs, and to disinfect cutting boards. It can also be used when washing clothes, as a fabric softener. Acidic water is also used for ?rming up and toning your skin, especially for your face and scalp; and it can be used for organic farming purposes, too—in lieu of pesticides.
