Effective on Select Dates: September 1 - November 9, 2010
On the following dates, daily Lincoln Service and Texas Eagle trains will operate according to an adjusted schedule between St. Louis and Chicago due to Union Pacific track maintenance: September 1 – 8, 2010; September 16 – 24, 2010; October 1 – 9, 2010; October 16 – 23, 2010; and November 1 – 9, 2010.
Lincoln Service
On the dates listed above, Lincoln Service trains will operate between Chicago and Springfield only. Alternate transportation will be provided between Springfield and St. Louis for passengers aboard the following trains:
Northbound Trains 300, 302, 304 and 306
Passengers boarding at St. Louis who are destined for Springfield and points north will be provided express motorcoach service directly to Springfield, where they may board the train. Motorcoach service will depart one hour earlier than the train's normal departure time. Passengers boarding at Alton and Carlinville will be provided alternate transportation, departing one hour earlier than the train's normal departure time. Passengers scheduled to board Trains 302, 304 and 306 at St. Louis destined for Alton or Carlinville will be provided alternate transportation. Exception: Train 300 will operate according to the normal schedule on September 1 and 16, October 1 and 16; and November 1, 2010. Southbound Trains 301, 303, 305 and 307
Passengers aboard these trains destined for, or making connections in, St. Louis will be provided express motorcoach service upon the train's arrival in Springfield. Passengers aboard these trains destined for Carlinville or Alton will be provided separate motorcoach service upon the train's arrival in Springfield. Exceptions: Trains 305 and 307 will operate according to the normal schedule on September 8 and 24, October 8 and 24; and November 8, 2010.
Texas Eagle
Texas Eagle trains on the dates listed above will operate directly between Chicago and St. Louis and will not serve any intermediate stops. Trains will still operate according to the normal schedule between St. Louis and San Antonio.
Alternate transportation will be provided for Train 22 between St. Louis and Joliet. Passengers aboard Train 21 will be provided alternate transportation. On September 1 - 8, motorcoach service will make all intermediate stops. On all other dates listed above, motorcoach service will only serve Bloomington-Normal, Springfield and St. Louis.
