Speaker at National Museum of Crime and Punishment to link violence between animals and human

Scott Giacoppo, chief programs officer of the Washington Humane Society, will host a discussion at the National Museum of Crime and Punishment, about the link between cruelty to animals and violence against humans. According to a survey conducted by the American Humane Association, animals were abused in 88 percent of homes where child physical abuse was present.

The discussion will be held on August 1, at the museum, located at 575 7th Street NW (between E and F Streets.) The Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro stop is the closest and the "arena exit" should be used. Attending the talk is free but admission to the museum costs $17.95 for adults 12-59, $14.95 for seniors 60+ and it's the same price for children 5-11.
