SAN ANTONIO, TX- A mother in San Antonio,Texas cut off the head of her infant son and claims the devil made her do it.
33-year-old, Otty Sanchez was hospitalized and detained on a $1million dollar bail for the vicious slaying of her 3 ½- week-old, son.
Police officials said, Sanchez may have eaten the infant's brain as well as other body parts.
Sanchez, who was in a frantic state when officers arrived, told the police she was hearing voices, before she killed her son.Police reports state, Sanchez suffered a few self-inflicted stab wounds to her chest and stomach, none of her injuries were considered life threatening.
When police entered the home on Sunday,Sanchez was screaming “I killed my baby, I want to die”. The infant child was identified as Scott Wesley Buchholtz-Sanchez, born June 30.
San Antonio police spokeswoman Romano Lopez said Monday the 33-year-old mother has been formally charged with capital murder.
Authorities removed a knife, a sword and a machete from Sanchez’s home.
Police said the infant was found stabbed and mutilated in the bedroom.
Otty's sister and her two children ages, 5 and 7,were also in the house at the time of the incident but were unharmed.
San Antonino Police Chief Willam McManus said the early moring attack took place a week after the child's father moved out.
Chief Mc Manus described the crime scene as "Grisly"

There is the possibility that this woman was given an antidepressant [also an antipsychotic] for her postpartum depression. The new atypical antipsychoticsc are half antidepressant.
