Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler injured after falling off a stage at Sturgis

STURGIS, SD--- Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler, was reportedly rushed to the hospital after falling off the stage during a live performance at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in western South Dakota early Thursday morning.

The 61-year-old Tyler was performing “Love in an Elevator” when the sound system failed. Tyler the consummate professional decided to entertain the large biker crowd by dancing around.

While up on a catwalk Tyler tottered backwards and fell. Security quickly rushed in to help him and the large crowd cheered as Tyler stood back up.

Security personnel escorted Tyler backstage around12:15am. A few moments later Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry came out and announced Tyler was taken to the hospital and they would not be able to continue with the show.

Tyler suffered minor head and neck injuries and a shoulder injury,

    It was an awesome concert, best ever, so sorry he fell, I still got my money's worth. Wishing a speedy recovery to Mr. Tyler. You made the 2009 rally the BEST!!

    i was one of the guys down front who caught him when he slipped and fell. when he was in my arms i told him i loved him and asked if him if he would marry me? he laughed and said SHUT UP! im a joker and a biker. and im not gay. i was drunk at the time.
