The Secret Service is investigating the placement of a hanging effigy of President Obama on a sign in Plains, Georgia Saturday, the hometown of former President Jimmy Carter.
Witnesses said a large black doll bearing a sign with Obama's name on it was discovered Saturday on a roadside sign announcing the town as "Plains, Georgia. Home of Jimmy Carter, our 39th President," according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Citing footage from television station WALB-TV, the newspaper reported that the doll was hanging by a noose.
