Timeshare Advocacy International - let's see what they do

Looking at a site that’s new to me, Timeshare Advocacy International. Looks like they are offering a fee-based timeshare ombudsman type service; the site has a forum site for discussions of various issues, a faq page, and other resources.

Judging by the founder's bios, looks to be a couple of retired military who left timeshare sales with a bad taste in their mouth, and are looking to help frustrated owners. My initial sense, is the focus appears to be on a fee-based consultation to help get out of their ownerships.

Given the number of people who pay a thousand dollars or more to ineffective and unlicensed sales operations, and worse, the numbers who fall for the scam of actually paying $3,000 for the privilege of surrendering their deed, I’m prepared to welcome any one offering legitimate assistance to frustrated owners.

However, much of the frustration is a result of unrealistic expectations on the part of owners whose only product education came during the “90-minute” sales presentation. You know, the one that lasts about 3 hours.

I will do my best to interview the principals at TAI, and check their fee structure. I would also look forward to hearing from any readers who have done business with them.

For those of you with questions, there's always the Timeshare Users Group, too.

    Mark,
I would love to speak with you on behalf of Timeshare Advocacy International and give you the full story behind what we feel is a quality service to assist timeshare owners with ZERO upfront fees. Additionally, we do not charge anything until after there has been a resolution. We are completely transparent and have nothing to hide. Yes, we do charge fees, but when you really research what other timeshare assistance companies are charging, you will see that we are not in this to become millionaires. We do no advertising on our site and for that simple fact. Again, I would love to get an opportunity to speak with you and answer any questions you might have.

    Regards,
    Sean Austin

    Sean

So I just called your company today regarding possibly enlisting your services. While I have absolutely no problem with paying for your service, I am very leary about paying the $2495 fee that I was just asked up front for TODAY before your company has done one thing for me. This is contrary to what you state above. I just want to know that I am now going ripped off a second time.

I was just quoted $1,950 UP FRONT by the TAI.

I, too, have been quoted $2495 for help, which the contract allows TAI 365 days. I might be missing something, but did I read correctly the post by Sean Austin that there is no fee until there is resolution and "ZERO upfront fees"? I am curious as to why the agreement I was sent is from another company name, with a different company name as the website.

Sean, can I please receive this help with no upfront fee? I'd pay double to get out of this mess.

be clear do you or do you not charge UPFRONT fees? If so at least be honest about it...there are a few companies out there that advertise properties and charge for it but they do explain you are paying for advertising and NOT a promise of a sale or to get you out of a contract

I am sorry that I have not responded to everyones questions concerning up front fees. The fact of the matter is that when I made my original statement up top, that was over a year ago and we had a much smaller operation and a smaller client base. In the last year we have exploded and due to demand and a greatly improved process we must charge fees up front, but we do offer a 100 percent money back guarantee as well. I am sorry for the confusion.

Sean, I'm wondering how you got my information to call me? How do you get your leads?

    KLo,

We get our leads from the same place that everyone does. You must know that the timeshare developers sell your name to the list companies several times over. They make a lot of money by doing this. When you purchased your timeshare you got a paper that you would have taken home and had to fill out and mail back to the developer within 7 days that takes away permission to sell you name.

I'm in interested in acquiring the services in this company. But i would like to know what guarantees that the service you do are a 100% accurate. I mean I don't want another ripped off from another company who is in the business of timeshare(I'm not saying this company sells timeshare but you are into this business against it). What if the company cannot find a solution to my problem, and for a year I haven't pay the mortgage fees, the timeshare company will increase the interest rate plus I have to pay penalties? It's beautiful what your saying about having a 100% money-back guarantee. But what we are looking for is a solution for the timeshare. We just want to get out, I personally want to get out after realizing that the mortgages fees and maintenance are killing. I don't know if there is a solution to these but I just don't want to go foreclosure and destroy my credit history. Help me out on this please

I have been talking to some one from Timeshare Adventures, Inc. Is this group affiliated with Timeshare Advocacy International? It seems that they take the customers and pass them onto an advocacy group. Is it yours? And what are the dangers in trying for a cancellation and failing? ...even if you get your $3000 back? Also, do you get the full amount back? is anything taken out for administrative fees?

Timeshare Advocacy International used to do Timeshare Adventures cancellations. We have stopped accepting their clients and I do not know who if anyone that they use. They may be trying to do this themselves but I am not certain. We are still completing all cases that we have received from them. Hope this helps, call if you have any questions. 877-350-7899

    Dear Mike Silverman,

I was fraudulently issued a timeshare by Pueblo Bonito where my name was forged... I have never used this Time Share, but now their billing corporation called "Concorde" is sending reports to the Crecit Bureau and hurting my credit score. I need your help. Please write to me at lskerbec@comcast.net, and I'll send you my phone number.

    Thanks so much,
    Linda Skerbec
