There are many options for organizing your spices. My preferred method is to keep them off the counter and hidden in a cabinet next to the stove. I use expandable, three tier shelves and uniform glass spice jars that I can easily label with a permanent marker.
The spice jars pictured will range in price from 89¢ - $1.19 per jar.

Tiered, expandable shelves allow you to easily see and reach each item, and help to maximize storage.
Expandable shelves can be purchased at The Container Store and Storables. The length and depth of the shelves vary to accommodate a wide range of food and cleaning items. For spices use narrow shelves (14"-27" x 8" x 4-1/4" h or 13"-25" x 11-5/8" x 6-1/8" h), which range in price from $10.95 to $14.99.
Three tier, expandable shelf accommodates a wide range of items.
My obsession with using jars to organize began with glass canisters, progressed to using jars for everything from nuts to quinoa, to moving all my spices into uniform glass jars. I no longer dig endlessly for an item or wonder if I have an item or how much I have on hand.

The beauty of organized cabinets.
Make an investment in the proper organizing tools such as glass canisters, jars, expandable shelves, and a permanent marker – they will save you time, money and stress in the long run.
Imagine the calm feeling when you open your cabinets and this is what you see. Prepping to cook or bake will be much more enjoyable.
