International Theatre Institute
Today, March 27th, 2009, is the International Theatre Institute's annual celebration of the theatre arts worldwide. ITI, founded in 1962, is an offshoot of UNSECO, an United Nations organization dedicated to the advancement of arts, sicences and cultural literacy.
World Theatre Day is celebrated with special events all over the planet, and there's no reason Nashville theatre afficianados can't join the party! After all, here's another great excuse to establish an annual tradition!
So how to celebrate in Nashville today? Here's a list of current events:
