Greenstage presents a slew of outdoor events the weekend of July 10 and 11. The Outdoor Theater Festival will feature several Shakespeare productions including Othello, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo & Juliet, Richard II and As You Like It. Theater Schmeater will present An Inconvenient Squirrel and Wing-It Productions, the fabulous and hilarious improv team, will present The Lost Folio.

There's nothing that says summer like throwing a blanket on the grass of Volunteer Park and watching Othello smother Desdemona with a pillow. Spoiler alert.

Hopefully the weather will hold for this beloved Seattle tradition, ten years running. For a full schedule visit Greenstage's website. Volunteer Park is at 1247 15th Ave E. in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. There will be two stages running shows simultaneously.

Bring the kids, a picnic, some blankets, and whatever donation you can manage to help these great performers out. The event is free, but the hard work they go through to bring you and your family enjoyment is certainly worth something.
