John "Rabbit" Bundrick (rabbitwho.com)
John "Rabbit" Bundrick is known to many Who fans as the fifth member of The Who. John Bundrick is a master of the keyboard, piano, and organ. He has played with a number of musicians, including Roger Waters and Bob Marley.
John first worked with Pete Townshend in 1977 on his solo collaboration with Ronnie Lane, the former bass player for the Small Faces and Faces, entitled Rough Mix.
A year later, Townshend asked Bundrick to perform on the Who's new album Who Are You. Unfortunately, Bundrick fell out of a taxi in front of the studio door and broke his arm, he could not perform on the album.
Bundrick did join the Who after Keith Moon's death and performed with them from 1979 through 1981 with Kenney Jones on drums. Bundrick also performed on the Who's 1981 album Face Dances. Bundrick did not perform on the Who's next album 1982's It's Hard and the subsequent tour. Allegedly, there was a falling out with Townshend due to Bundrick's drinking.
Bundrick rejoined the Who for Live Aide in 1985 and has been with the band for most of the next 20 plus years performing on subsequent tours and new recordings, which includes the band's last album, 2006's Endless Wire.
