Tenative U.S. release dates of The Doors When You're Strange

American audiences will soon be getting the chance to see The Doors documentary When You’re Strange this spring. According to The Doors manager, Jeff Jampol, the theatrical release of the movie is tentatively set for March or April 2010. The release date for both the DVD and download availability is, again tentatively, set for May 25th, 2010. One date that is set in stone for When You’re Strange, it will air on PBS’ prestigious “American Masters” program May 26th, 2010.

Previously, When You’re Strange has played to audiences at film festivals such as Sundance, The Los Angeles Film Festival, and garnered distribution deals in England, France, Australia, Canada, Germany and Japan.

A new promotional trailer for When You’re Strange was also released to the internet this past Monday, January 4th. As more information becomes available and dates and times are solidified, The Doors Examiner will keep you informed.

    Why didn't I think of this! Take all the old footage and make a "new" film. Modern is just old hat chromed... .

    Personally, I do want to see the documentary myself I hope it gets a decent theater distribution.

    Studley-Almost any kind of documentary relies on archival footage!
