The Bachelor' highlight: Tenley meets Jake's family (episode eight)

Tenley met Jake's family for the first time on episode eight of "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" March 1, 2010. The family absolutely loved Tenley and said they could see her being a part of Jake's life forever. Jake's mother even said she would be honored to have her as part of their family, and his father told her she was a wonderful girl.

Tenley was very open with the family about falling in love with Jake. She said the two had spent a lot of time talking about their values, and she felt they were very similar in their thinking. She also immediately put the 'thank you to the parents' out there, saying Jake's values about love and marriage were a true testament to how he was raised. Jake's father was actually in tears because he could tell Jake was really falling in love, too.

Tenley and Jake's mother spoke privately, and she began with questions about how she holds up in times of conflict. She was looking for someone who could stay strong and keep it together. Tenley decided this would be a good time to explain her past and open up about her divorce. She felt it showed that she doesn't give up, even when things are falling apart.

When Sallie pulled Jake aside, she told him she had no red flags for Tenley, and she loved her. She warned him, though, that he needed to let Tenley in to his goofier side so that when it did show up she wouldn't be so surprised. Jake chose jumping in the pool with his clothes on as his way to test her spontaneous bones. Tenley had no problem hopping in, and his family was soon to follow.
