Josh Hamilton making the absolute most of his newest preaching platform

Josh Hamilton is still speaking at small local churces

In case you haven't figured it out yet, Josh Hamilton is very, very legit with his off-the-field efforts. It can't be said enough.

Not a believer like me? Need more proof? Here it is.

He's still talking to churches, explaining what he overcame and trying to inspire people, despite all the positive press he's received this season (which would have appeased any agent or publicist months ago). And I'm not talking about gigantic churches that feature televangelists and speaking in tounges.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the All-Star who has become a bright figure for all humanity - as far as I'm concerned, anyway - will be speaking at a church in Mansfield, near Fort Worth.

Josh Hamilton, the Texas Rangers' hitter extraordinaire, will speak at 10 a.m. Sunday at Creekwood Church in Mansfield. The church meets at Mansfield High School, 3001 E. Broad Street.

Hamilton is a recovering drug addict and born-again Christian who nearly destroyed his career, marriage and life before turning things around -- with, he says, the help of God.

He will give testimony at Creekwood with his wife, Katie.

NOTE: Hamilton now sits at 106 RBI, 11 more than National League leader Ryan Howard
