The Baylor Bears are looking to end the domination by the Texas Longhorns on their home court under Rick Barnes. The Bears are only 4-26 against Texas with Rick Barnes as head coach and 1-12 in Waco. The Bears will be looking to extract some payback for all of the losses they have suffered in the past years. Baylor is 18-2 to start the season for the first time in program history.
The Longhorns come into the game with a little confidence after defeating the Iowa State Cyclones earlier this week to end a three game losing streak. J’Covan Brown has been the hot hand on offense for the Longhorns.
The Horns are looking for a consistent scorer to compliment Brown. Sheldon McClellan has been a force off the bench, but has not been consistent. The Horns looks to Myck Kabongo to guide the offense in an efficient manner.
The Bears do not have that problem they are loaded. The sixth ranked Bears has the inside force of Quincy Acy and Perry Jones III to dominate the boards. They combined for over 26 points and 14 rebounds per game.
The Bears will not be looking past the young, but dangerous Horns. The Horns lost two of their last three losses on a final possession. Those losses were on the road to Kansas State and the other was at home to Kansas.
