July 24th is National Tequila Day, so get some friends together and go out and celebrate! Below are some tasty and unique bar and restaurant ideas gathered from some of Examiner.com’s local restaurant and bar experts.
Austin – Freddies Place
If the mercury climbs above 100 degrees, the margaritas are only a dollar. Summers in Austin can be pretty warm!
Denver - Benny's Restaurant and Tequila Bar

Los Angeles – Hacienda del Rey
“The best margaritas on the Westside,” according to Culver City Restaurant Examiner Mary McGrath.
New York – Dos Caminos
Manhattan Restaurant Examiner Slavica Milosevska raves about the guacamole and the margaritas at Dos Caminos. They also have a “variety of over 100 tequilas and liquors [that] make this posh Mexican restaurant a popular happy hour, dinner and weekend spot.”
Orlando – San Angel Inn at Disney’s Epcot
Stuck with the kids at Disney World? Plan for part of the afternoon or evening at Epcot, where you can get your fix over at San Angel’s Inn, located inside Mexico. According to Florida Travel Examiner Larraine Stacey, they’ve got a new tequila bar adjacent to the restaurant.
Pittsburgh – Mad Mex
According to Pittsburgh College Bars Examiner Kerri Gatti, Mad Mex serves “hands down, the best margarita in Oakland, possibly the entire city” of Pittsburgh. They also have a big azz margarita that weighs in at 22 ounces!
San Francisco - Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant
SF Bars Examiner Samantha Cooper claims Tommy’s serves “the best margarita in San Francisco.”
Tacoma – Margaritas in Tacoma
Tacoma Happy Hours Examiner, Krys Bush, recommends a few places to get a great margarita.
Washington, DC – Rosa Mexicano
If you want to sip premium tequila in our nation's capital, Rosa Mexicano has a full tequila bar and is “arguably the top Mexican restaurant in the entire D.C. metro area,” according to DC Fine Dining Examiner Robert Bouknight.

Hi Ryan- yummy- I just posted a "secret recipe" from the Houston Continental Airline's Presidents Club lounge!
