Now that the 2009 season is officially over for the Tennessee Titans, their 2010 opponents list is now set. Although no dates have been scheduled, next season the Titans will play host to the Broncos, Raiders, Eagles, Redskins and Steelers, as well as the cycle of fellow AFC South Combatants the Colts, Jags and Texans.
In 2010 Tennessee will travel to San Diego, Kansas City, Dallas, New York (Giants) and Miami as well as Indy, Jacksonville and Houston. As we have seen from this season, the NFL is quite unpredictable, especially since both of last season's top teams missed this year's postseason. (Steelers, Titans)
Of the Titans 16 games next season, five will be against playoff teams while the Broncos, Steelers, Texans and Dolphins all just narrowly missed the postseason.
Both the Eagles and Cowboys will be highly anticipated games and although they may have lost their luster, Titans fans will be looking forward to the Oakland Raiders coming to town.
Other notable contests include rematches against the Chargers, who Jeff Fisher has never won against, the Steelers, and a return visit by former Tennessee Titan turned 100 million dollar man Albert Haynesworth when the now Jim Zorn-less Washington Redskins come to LP Field.
When the schedule is finally ironed out, I will keep Titans fans posted. Until then, lets get ready for free-agency and the NFL draft where it looks like Tennessee will be selecting around the middle of the first round, possibly 17th as they finished the season at .500 with an 8-8 record.
