July 4th on TV: Wimbledon final, Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and fireworks

The Wimbledon Women Finals, Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and even the fireworks will be on TV on July 4th. 

This Independence Day there will be reasons to cheer and to remember with a major tournament championship between the most competitive and talented sisters in sports, several TV tributes to already incredibly missed icons, and a selection of live fireworks for those who choose to stay home for the celebration.

First comes the sports section, with the Williams sisters, Venus and Serena, battling it out once more for the Wimbledon championship from 9 am to 2pm on NBC. Venus is the current champ on that tournament, while Serena holds the titles at the Australian and the U.S. Open. They have played each other 20 times, and their score is 10-10. Did anybody say "good game"?

At 12pm, E! will have "Michael Jackson" on the air. Michael Jackson: The Life and Times of the King of Pop will be on TV Guide Network at 2pm, 4pm, 5pm, 8pm and 11pm EST, and Michael Jackson: Stars Reflect on the Man in the Mirror will be transmitted at 3pm, 3.30pm, 9pm and 9.30pm on the same network. 

Dr. T and the Women (movie where Farrah Fawcett played Kate) will be on TMC at 1.55pm. And a bit earlier, at 1pm, Farrah Fawcett: Her Life, Her Loves, Her Legacy will be on E! and Farrah Fawcett: America's Angel Remembered will be on TV Guide Network. 

Finally, there is no 4th of July without the fireworks, even on TV. Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular will be live on NBC at 9pm, and Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular will be live on CBS at 10pm.
