FYI: Vogel is the author of the HuffPost article Lambert tweeted later. The Planet Fierce OpEd was written by someone else.
Adam's response was perfect, snarky and dismissive. Good for him, lots of other writers have taken up arms not so much in his defense but in response to the nonsense in the letter. Like how out wanted and interview half way through Idol, they ALL wanted interviews half way through, but no Idol can do interviews, EW did an article which was allowed precisely because it was not an interview. Oh and he took RS over you? So would your mother for god's sake. In doing that he declared he is a singer and entertainer first and oh yeah, btw, did you know he was gay too? Just like Obama wasn't itching to be the first black president, he wanted to be president and oh yeah, he happens to be black, Adam wants to be left alone to be himself in any way he wants. That's all we all want and we all have a right to that. So you admonish Adam to not screw this up - this editor beat him to it!!!!!
Once Hicklin make his letter public I think Adam was right to respond and think he did it in a fair and eloquent way. To the point, but not offensive.
I heard this comment somewhere "Don't mistake kindness for weakness". Adam is a kind and caring person, but doesn't have to let others walk all over him. Let Adam just sing already - and let the rest of the stuff go... He is right, it's not that deep, he just wants to sing and entertain. And others shouldn't try to project their agenda onto Adam - no matter what the agenda!
Thanks for the heads up, Mquincy! I made the correction. :)
Off course Adam should respond...not a sane person in this world would let a trash article like this fly without a response, I wouldn't, and those who say they wouldn't respond..are full of it...
Way to go ADAM. I'm proud how smart you are the way you put them in their place. Yes, it's not that deep but they're obscenely shallow. Just entertain us, ADAM baby.
Just want to share this great news: ADAM LAMBERT included in People Magazine's SEXIEST MAN ALIVE!!!
