A recent article about three American Idols performing together and news of the winners of tonight's Teen Choice Awards 2009 have made the West Palm Beach Television Examiner curious: who is your favorite American Idol runner up, Adam Lambert, David Archuleta, or Clay Aiken?
Once again, this is all for curiosity's sake, not an attempt to pin the idols against each other. Adam Lambert and Kris Allen are reportedly good friends, and the same is supposed to be the case with David Archuleta and David Cook, and Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard. After all, none of these runners up really lost, did they?
So, who do you think is the cutest, funnest, most talented of them? Is it Clay Aiken, who has not only made a music career for himself but also written a book, made several television appearances and become a succesful Broadway star? Or maybe you prefer David Archuleta, teenage heartthrob and recent Teen Choice Award winner who toured the United States with Disney Channel's Demi Lovato? Or is your favorite Adam Lambert, newest AI sensation who has fans desperate to see him perform at every stop of the American Idol 2009 Summer Tour and whose cover of "Mad World" is currently in the commercial for a new TV show?

David has it all!!! he is incredibly talented, intelligent, funny, generous, kind, humble, courageous, super handsome, an awesome philanthropist; a great role model for people of all ages! Adam may be a runner-up but he is the best finalist that ever graced the American Idol and therefore, there should be no comparison at all. In just over two months after the finals, Adam already made history by garnering many awards. Furthermore, it is too idiotic to build this poll because all anti-Adam fans would be voting against him though they do not favor Archuleta nor Aiken. Where is your common sense, Ms Romina Massa?
archuleta is a class act, all the way down the line... no hyperbole or any other exclamation points needed... his fans are very loyal, dedicated, and respectful of him, as well as other idols. we are not going to engage in or be sucked into any discourse of fan wars, because we have lived through and survived that silly stuff last season. we're here to vote, and vote hard for our fave, and hope everyone does the same. all of these guys are mega talented, and there is no need to slag one to make the other look good. let's vote, and show the world that class and respect are not foreign concepts with idol contestants and their fans.

excuse me brainy... clay and archuleta have proven themselves, adam is yet to do so.. it is exactly that hubris and arrogance that has every fanbase despising yours, because you all seem to think lambert invented singing or something. he is talented, as are both these two, and we'd like to think his fans were capable of showing a little class and respect somewhere on the web. it's ok to have a fave, but please do not try or insult the intelligence of anyone here with those ridiculous claims. no need to boast or brag about anything - just vote. and may the one with the most votes win. it is just a stupid poll, for fun. not life or death, or the nobel peace prize.
David Archuleta hands down. It to think he is only 18 and is only going to get better. The best vocals with one vocal chord I've ever heard and the best performer who truly connects with the audience fan or not. Youtube him to see this amazing singer.

The adorable Clay Aiken gets my vote.I just found out he has a new recording contract with DECCA/Universal Records. Congrats Clay!His official Fan Club site says new music in early 2010.I hope his 10th Tour will follow.He's a great live Entertainer, not to mention that killer voice!
These three guys prove that second place is not about losing at all. They are all very talented and deserve success.
My vote, though goes to the ever evolving and ever incredible Clay Aiken. Love that guy to pieces!! So glad to hear that he'll have new music for us in 2010. Hopefully his new label will give him the support that he deserves.
Hands down Archuleta .. neither Clay or Adam have the vocal skill David has .. Adam and Clay are both talented .. but as for range, vibrato, falsetto .. technically .. David is respected by many noted songwriters and artists.
He's also got a clean canvas .. which will work well for him in the coming years.

David Archuleta is my favorite Idol of all time!!! I have never followed the career of any Idol finalist and doubt I ever will again. I enjoyed Idol this past season, but nobody really moved me like David did and still does. To think he is only 18! I am looking forward to what the coming years have in store for this prodigy!
David Archuleta gets my vote - his voice is unmatched in my opinion - Adam and Clay are both talented and are technically proficient singers but something about David's voice and connection with music blows my socks off. No singer has made me feel that way about music, ever.
My vote goes to David for the way he connects with the song and the listener and his soulful stylings. Adam, Aiken and Archuleta are all amazing vocalists. I guess you can't win if you sing too well! LOL!

my vote is for archuleta... i vote for him because he is my fave - no anti anybody votes being cast. aiken and lambert are very talented singers, and i respect them both for their unique talent. but archuleta stole my heart over a year ago with his musicality, his humble spirit, and tenacity in the face of all the bs and garbage tptb at idol tried to throw in his path. don't mistake his shy nature for weakness - he's tough as nails, and has cultivated a fanbase that just adore him. keep on keeping on david... we're with you all the way.
I'm laughing so hard at all the passionate Adam fans. What is it about American Idol that turns peeps into idiots? All three of these men are talented and very different, clearly you will choose according to your taste. And NO, Adam is not the best to ever grace the Idol stage - you are completely delusional on this and you will probably realize that some day.

I have watched every season of American Idol except the first. There are quite a few tremendous voices that have come out of each season, some (like Jennifer Hudson) who didn't even make it to runner-up). But when I first heard the enchanting voice of David Archuleta, all those other gorgeous voices suddenly took a back seat. David has won my heart, and will forever be my American Idol. This prodigy has it all ~ wonderful pitch-perfect voice, love for his fans, the "IT" factor, connects with his audience, humble, humorous, and absolutely fascinating and mesmerizing the more I get to know him! What more could I ask!
Adam is by faaaaar the best perfomer EVER on american idol.. neither clay or david have the talent, grace, sexiness, style and all that stuff that makes you not only an artist but a SUPERSTAR..

I don't care how Clay and Adam will survive. All of my money will go to David. I bought a Clay's CD long time ago and listened to it only once. That's it. I have no interest in Adam's music. He is too polarizing. His music doesn't come from heart. Not my taste. When David sings, he really means it. That's why I like him as an artist.
Adam Lambert is far and away the finest vocalist/performer to grace the American Idol stage in the eight seasons of American Idol. The judges saw that and their comments consistently reflected what they saw. He is truly spectacular in every sense of the word. He has won my heart & soul.
David Archuleta of course! he's way too talented, cant deny that.. i've been listening to his song everyday, he has a very good personality, always being humble and funny. Adam and Clay are both talented but not as good as David so go Arch Angels!! :)
Adam and Clay are very talented singers, but it's David Archuleta to whom I give my heart. His out-of-this-world voice, humble demeanor, love for his fans, and gracious spirit make him an exceptionally rare yet much needed role model for many people, whether young or old, in this troubled world. No music inspires and soothes me like David's does. He bares his soul in every song. He doesn't perform a song that he doesn't connect with. People enjoy his singing because they can feel his spirit and emotions in it. I wish David Archuleta every success he rightfully deserves as he shares his love for music with the rest of the world.
