Seinfeld reunion on Curb Your Enthusiasm

Title Card from Curb Your Enthusiasm

The television series Seinfeld aired its finale eleven years ago, yet if has not lost its popularity. Talk of a reunion has been on par with that of Friends. Although it might not be the type of reunion that everybody hoped for, there will be a Seinfeld reuinion in the fictional world of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

At the Television Critics Press Tour, Larry David announced that his character on Curb is going to decide to finally make a Seinfeld reunion. For those of you that might not remember, Larry David was the co-creator, head writer and executive producer of Seinfeld. This reunion will all take place during Curb Your Enthusiam's 7th season, beginning September 20th on HBO.

Even though a TV special reunion is only part of Curb's story line, all of the characters will appear on episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm throughout the season. We will see them discussing, rehearsing and filming the reunion, however we will never see a full episode of a reunion. Who knows this could be much better. Could you imagine the hype a real reunion would have. Remember what happened when the Seinfeld finale didn't live up to its hype?

Watching Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards together in a situation comedy with Larry David sounds like a reunion not to be missed regardless of whether it is real or not. Will you be watching the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm with the Seinfeld cast on Sunday night September 20, 2009?
