This Saturday, August 15, 2009, Verizon is throwing a big block party in Hewlett, Long Island for the Rosen family, winner of My FIOS Home Ultimate Upgrade Contest. Justin Guarini, American Idol runner-up and TV Guide Network's Idol Tonight host will be performing live and signing autographs.
The contest required making a short video about your family's FiOS entertainment fantasy. The Grand Prize winners, The Rosens from Hewlett, New York, are getting a home technology makeover from Verizon worth $20,000. They will also star in a new reality TV show, showcasing their real-life experiences using Verizon’s voice, TV and internet services, airing online and on FiOS1 in September.
The block party is free, family-friendly and open to all residents of Hewlett. There will be food, raffles, face painting, the New York Islanders dancers and more. The party is being held on Lake View Drive at Union Avenue from 1 - 5 pm this Saturday.
