The Dollhouse Cast
Many fans of Battlestar Galactica probably already do watch Dollhouse. This is partly because the type of fans that Joss Whedon, creator of Dollhouse, attracts, is very similar to the intelligent science fiction fans that watched Battlestar. It is also partly due to the fact that Tahmoh Penikett (Helo) is one the stars of Dollhouse.
However, it appears that in each of the first two episodes of the second season of Dollhouse, premiering September 25, 2009, a former cast member from Battlestar Galactica will guest star. In episode one, Jamie Bamber (Lee "Apollo" Adama) guests as someone working with Echo (Eliza Dushku) on an engagment. He will also be working with Echo's new handler, none other than Paul Ballard, played by Bamber's former castmate Penikett. It should be a kick for fans of both series to see them together again.
On the second episode of Dollhouse, Micheal Hogan (Saul Tigh) will guest star. He will play a semi-regular customer of the Dollhouse. Also, In season one of Dollhouse, actor Mark Sheppard, who played lawyer Romo Lampkin in Battlestar, appeared in three episodes as Tanaka.
Very often Joss Whedon will use actors in his shows who were cast members from his former series. Eliza Dushku, the star of Dollhouse, was formerly on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and there have been many other examples. What is interesting about the use of so many Battlestar Galactica cast members is that BSG was not a Joss Whedon show. Do you think he was a fan?

Comments
Yes, Joss was a BSG fan (remember the special? He was in it...) and BSG fans should be watching Dollhouse. The last 3 episodes (netflix the DVD so you get the 13th) are easily ALMOST as good as BSG.
Hey, Max.
Yeah, Joss is a VOCAL fan of BSG.
Max, I do remember Joss on the BSG special now. And you are right about Dollhouse getting better and better in the end, especially when Alan Tudyk from Firefly came on.
