Puberty - from a teenager's perspective
Teens are going through pitfalls and changes in totally uncool things. The pitfalls and changes are so constant, teenagers have to deal with them literally every single minute of every single day.
You will find yourself responsible for more things – like your little brothers and sisters. You’ll have to keep them safe, you’ll have to deal with your pets, and you’ll have to take care of yourself. You might suddenly feel like you have to be responsible for just about everything, or at least that’s what it feels like.
You’ll feel kind of lost, like you don’t fit in. You’re too old to play with the little kids, and you’re too young to play with the big kids. You’ll want to play with the little kids, but you know that’s not cool.
Clothes won’t fit either. You’re too big for the kid’s department, but you’re not big enough for the adult department. So you really can’t find anything that fits. But that won’t hold you back from experimenting with funky color combinations and jewelry and accessories. Your taste in music will be all over the place, and so will your tv likes and dislikes.
You’ll get into places on the computer, like Facebook, mainly to see what other people are doing and so you can judge them and talk about them. It’s okay, because it’s all trying to fit in.
