Following the footsteps of Nick Jonas, another teen celebrity visited Washington D.C. to speak up on an important social issue. According to The Hill, Zac Efron was at the White House on Tuesday, November 10 to lobby for more funding for the arts in public schools.
Efron, who is currently promoting his latest film Me and Orson Welles, joined costar Claire Danes and the movie's director Richard Linklater at the White House event where they spoke in behalf of Americans for the Arts. Absent from the event, however, were the nation's most famous "tweens" Sasha and Malia Obama. The first daughters were in school during Efron's visit.
"I admire anyone who has devoted their lives to public service," Efron said. Me and Orson Welles hits theaters Friday, December 4.
