There's no doubt the past 12 months belonged to country pop superstar Taylor Swift. The Fearless singer topped the charts, went on a successful tour, won every imaginable award, hosted Saturday Night Live, and made headlines simply for accepting an MTV moonman. So it comes to no surprise Swift was named 2009's Entertainer of the Year by the Associated Press.
"I am so honored and so excited," Swift said. "This was so unexpected, and I could not be more grateful." It looks like 2010 will also be another banner year for the hardworking star, who will be making her feature film acting debut in the romantic comedy Valentine's Day (costarring rumored beau Taylor Lautner) and releasing her third album.
"The second that I put out Fearless, the moment that album came out and I was done with it, I started writing for my next album," Swift added. "I love to plan 20 steps ahead of myself, and it's really fun competition game that I play with myself, trying to top what I've done last. For this next record, that's all that I've been thinking about, that's all that my mind has been fixated on for the last year, and it's all that I'm going to be thinking about for this next year." Swift is a favorite to take home multiple trophies at the 2010 Grammy Awards, airing January 31.W
