LangoLab was recently interviewed by the National Technology News Examiner of Examiner.com
When was your company founded?
If by "company" you mean the legal entity, we incorporated in the state of Delaware about eight days ago. If you don't mean the legal entity, please see the answer to the next question.
What's the story behind how you started the company?
Adam came up with the seeds of the idea about two and a half years ago. He started working on it in earnest about fifteen months ago, though the degree of earnestness has varied with the ebb and flow of assorted exogenous factors. Shane came on board about four months ago, and Jennifer about one and a half months ago.
What is your company all about?
We want to make the ultimate solution for foreign language learning. We started by creating tools that minimize the struggle of watching foreign language videos and reading foreign language text: video captions, one-click dictionary lookup, flash cards, and notes. We're expanding the idea to really maximize the approachability, friendliness, and usefulness of foreign video and text content. Once sufficient content and structure is in place in the site, we hope to use the "freemium" business model, where most baseline content is free but premium content and features require a subscription. We're hoping to ultimately negotiate broadcast rights for top-notch television and film content.
How is your company different than your competitors? Competitive advantages?
Not sure if it counts as an answer, but I think it's the people. We're more motivated, focused, and intelligent. This is the basis for more daring and innovative ideas expressed in the site.
What are the main challenges your company faces?
We're very new at this and we haven't found the really intense mentorship that we need to put our motivation to its most efficient use. We also need to find a deep, imaginative hacker to be the fourth team member.
Finally, what's your goal for the next few months?
We have a number of site features that we need to release to make our site truly usable for learning foreign languages. Our goal is to make the site a comfortable, inviting, and exciting home for its users. We're going to make langolab the obvious choice for anyone learning a foreign language.

"We're hoping to ultimately negotiate broadcast rights for top-notch television and film content.". If you can do this you might have a chance. Good luck dealing with them!
