No kidding! The iPhone may actually have a hole (especially starting today)

As much as I would love to believe in the perfect nature of the iPhone when compared to every other technology in existence, I was shocked to learn that as of today (November 21) the new 2.2 release of the iPhone OS may include a security glitch that potentially enables malicious web sites to initiate unwanted calls when they are visited!  The imagination reels at the possibility of such a malicious scheme.

True, there are supposedly many other "features" being touted along with this little security "glitch" but when you think about it, we could be talking about a serious problem.  After all, who wants their phone calling Kathmandu without their knowledge?

Today's date actually coincides with earlier rumors of this potential software update / release.

I for one hoped that Apple would have delayed or fixed this "small" problem before it damages the reliable and secure reputation they have worked so hard to establish.

I am also very curious what iPhone users and others think of this potential problem.  Please post your comments.  No matter what, it should be an interesting day.
