Wayne Eckerson, Director ofTDWI Research, speaks at IIBA/SFTDWI Users Group Meeting
It was a dual pleasure of exciting industry news and education hosted at Citrix Corporation in Fort Lauderdale for the combined International Institute of Business Analysts(IIBA) and South Florida The Data Warehouse Institute (SFTDWI) quarterly users meeting. The full house of local professionals began arriving as early as 8:00 AM to take advantage of the breakfast spread provided by the sponsors and prepared by Omnific Event Design. The room was brimming with chatter as networking participants could hardly contain themselves between speakers.

Michael Delgado, Citrix Corporation
Michael Delgado, Citrix Corporation, humored, as well as, educated the crowd with his comparison on market strategy. He paralled his father's market strategy for his bakery, with grassroots origins in Cuba, to the conglomerates here in the United States who are applying the same principles. Highlighting the event were the sponsors IBM, MicroStrategy, Microsoft, Blueprint Software Systems, ESI International stationed at tables in the rear of the room, reminiscent of a mini-conference with all the bells and whistles. Real nice gifts were raffled off at the end of the meeting amid lots more laughter and networking. I wondered, as I waded through the crowd to make my exit, if Citrix might have to ask this enthusiastic crowd to depart.
