This is a two-fer, for those upgrading from Office 2003 to 2007. These sites will show you where all your favorite commands have gone in that pesky, confusing ribbon at the top of MS Office 2007's screen. Click either image below to take you to an interactive program that will translate your favorite 2003 Word or Excel commands into 2007:
Click here to access MS Office guide for MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
Here’s what you do:
- Open the site
- Select the Office software you would like help with. It opens in the 2003 version
- Hover over the 2003 tool that you are trying to find in 2007. It will show a tool tip that tells you where it is in 2007.
- If you’re looking for a menu item, click on the menu drop down list and then hover over your selection for the tool tip.
This is a wonderful tool. It has worked every time I’ve tried it. No problems. No confusions. I use Excel and Word constantly for my writing and dreaded upgrading to 2007. But, besides a writer, I'm a teacher and I have to teach it in the Fall. No choice but to dive into the breach.
I will be sharing this site with my students.

You do know its 2010, right?
Ah, yes. I haven't yet upgraded to MS Office 2010, though I will soon. I'm not sure there are enough differences to warrant the cost. What do you think?
