Twitter’s blog announced its website is available in Spanish as of November 3, 2009. After seeking volunteers last month, Spanish became the first language fully supported of the four before German, Italian and French.
Twitter offered volunteers a badge that would identify them as translators on their profiles. Now with the website featured in Spanish Twitter can position its service in other parts of the globe.
Social networking continues to push the innovation for communications. Twitter along with other giants like Facebook and Myspace will be part of the phenomenon of new social media.
What will be important that technologies from Twitter be available in more languages, and access a wider online audience.
Some of the users that are mentioned on Twitter’s blog contributed to the success and completion of this project. They had found this service to be useful before this announcement was made by Twitter. Their names are the following:
