Minneapolis developer and owner of North Loop Media LLC launched intriguing iPhone application that can track your BAC (Blood Alcohol Content). The application is intended to create awareness of the number of drinks you had.

The creator behind this application was Michael Tankenoff who coined the idea behind this easy to use iPhone app. According to the Citypages, Tankenoff on a Sunday happened to be browsing other BAC iPhone apps and thought most of them had no entertainment value and no accurate way to track BAC levels like age, sex, weight, time, alcohol type and percentage alcohol content.

The Funtoxication app features three categories: blood alcohol calculator, monkey business and call a taxi. The monkey business selection features interactive games that allow a person to engage in it and based on the score will help determine based on response time the alcohol level.

The call a taxi particularly well placed within the app and utilizes the iPhone’s GPS system to help locate the closest taxi station. The application can be downloaded for $0.99 and compatible with the iPod Touch and iPad.

After reviewing many other apps in the iTunes Store, they offer a similar looking calculators but this app enhances the user experience. In this case, the Funtoxication takes the entertainment value and revolutionizes the concept.

The downside is individuals who drink in excess may not necessary rely on application since they may not deter from that behavior. However, Funtoxication takes an interesting approach to be a more conscious and responsible drinker.
