After Chipotle parted ways with San Francisco based Butler Shine Stern & Partners (BSPP), on Monday they announced a new business partnership with Minneapolis Compass Media Point. Compass will be in charge of media planning and buying duties for Chipotle, according to a Mediabistro.com report.
The Chipotle Split with the previous agency was due to creative differences between both companies. Compass, a division of Minneapolis based Campbell Mithun, will benefit from the alliance with the popular restaurant chain.
Compass has over 100 strategists, negotiators, and analysts that cover all media on a national and local level, according to Compass.
How important is this partnership? Chipotle has over 900 locations and looking to expand in France and Germany, according to a Reuters report. In addition, the company is looking to add more locations in Canadian markets
