Due to inclement weather, there may be a shortage of pumpkin goods following Thanksgiving 2009. But you can still get your favorite holiday taste of pumpkin in a flavored tea, including in tea bags, loose leaf, decaf, and herbal blends.

The Chicago Tribune and LA Times have reported about this unfortunate situation. Take heart--there is plenty of pumpkin tea available from a variety of different vendors. And there are no calories or fat in this little indulgence.

Let's start with tea that comes in bags. Here you can get a box of Stash Holiday Chai and Pumpkin Spice teas. And a similar Twining's Chai Pumpkin Spice. Don't forget Bigelow with their Pumpkin Spice Tea.

That Stash Pumpkin Spice is available as a decaf in bags or as loose leaf. Then there's Eastern Shore Pumpkin Spice Decaf, also coming conveniently in tea bags.

There are plenty of loose leaf options for Pumpkin Tea. Culinary Teas has its Pumpkin Spice offering, as well as one from Simpson and Vail, and Metropolitan Tea. Next is Camille's Tea and Divinitea, followed by Plymouth Tea and Adagio.

Lupicia makes a showing with its Pumpkin Pie, and Tea Temptations has another one. Culinary Teas also has a Pumpkin Cream. Finally for loose leaf, Teavana has a Sweet Oolong Revolution with pumpkin in it.

Zhena's Gypsy Tea offers an herbal Pumpkin Spice in tea bags for those of you who don't want caffeine. And for loose leaf, Dr Tea's offers its Pumpkin Pie along with a version from Tropical Tea Company.

There are plenty to choose from, so give yourself the gift of a nice pumpkin-flavored tea for the holidays this year, and let go of that extra piece of pie.

I was lucky. I bought the pumpkin for my pies about two months ago.
I love drinking the fall teas, though. I love the spices. The Republic of Tea has a nice one, too. And the Tea Spot has some great fall teas as well.
