Name: Blueberry Peach Passion
Brand: Talbott Teas (a Chicago-based company)
Type: Rooibos tisane (not a true tea)
Form: Loose leaf
Review: Talbott Teas is a Chicago-based purveyor of beautifully packaged flavored teas and tisanes. Their Blueberry Peach Passion tisane is a rooibos-based blend that includes apple pieces, hibiscus, rose hips, and other botanicals
The dry leaf is very pretty, with a sweet nose of blueberry and peach (as would be expected). The tisane infuses to a gorgeous deep-red color, and both the blueberry and peach notes are evident on the palate, as is the rooibos. Unfortunately, however, the hibiscus is somewhat overpowering, and the other flavors never really come together. This isn't a bad tasting tisane, but the clumsy blending and overwhelming tartness make it an unremarkable beverage.
Pros: A very pretty tisane in a very pretty package. Blueberry lovers should enjoy the definate blueberry nose and flavor.
Cons: Too tart and the flavors did not seem well-blended.
Tip: I did try this tisane both hot and iced, and preferred the iced version greatly: The chill blunted the hibiscus-tart, and the other flavors (especially the blueberry) were able to shine a bit more.

Thanks for the review. I tried Blueberry Peach Passion from Talbott Teas as well. It's the first Rooibos tea that I absolutely fell in love with.
